Cloud SaaS with EU/Germany hosting for German/European accounts, plus an on-premise option for large enterprises. Bitrix24 is primarily provided as a cloud-based online workspace and includes CRM, tasks & projects, chat, video calls, calendar, drive, webmail, websites, online stores, HR, automation, and CoPilot. For German and European accounts, Bitrix24 names AWS data centers in Frankfurt am Main; the infrastructure overview additionally lists AWS Dublin and Servers.com Amsterdam for individual components. According to Bitrix24, the on-premise edition is designed for hosting on your own server and offers full access to source code and API; it is aimed primarily at large enterprises and corporate groups.


**Data processing:** Bitrix24 processes account, user, CRM, communication, file, project, calendar, marketing, website, shop, telephony, and automation data depending on the activated modules. The DPA governs the processing of personal data in the Bitrix24 customer account; for EU users, the DPA is provided as part of the terms of use. According to the Terms, Alaio responds to requests for the removal of personal data within 30 days. Marketplace apps and third-party integrations may trigger their own data processing; in the Terms, Bitrix24 points out that Marketplace sellers may themselves process personal data as part of their transactions.


**AI / CoPilot: **CoPilot is available in Bitrix24 in Feed, Chat, Calendar, CRM, Webmail, Tasks, and Websites. Functions include text generation, summaries, translations, checklists, task descriptions, call transcription, CRM field completion, and website/image generation. According to the CoPilot FAQ, Bitrix24 currently uses third-party AI models such as OpenAI; Bitrix24 states that this involves technical storage for up to 14 days. The CoPilot product page additionally states, “Your data is not used for training.” In the on-premise version, data traffic to ai-proxy-de.bitrix.info must be allowed for CoPilot.


**MCP / external AI systems: **Bitrix24 offers an MCP server through which external AI systems such as ChatGPT, Cursor, or Manus can perform Bitrix24 actions. This function is disabled by default; administrators can enable or disable it. Bitrix24 explicitly points out that connections to external AI systems enable data exchange with external systems and may create security and data processing risks that Bitrix24 does not control.

**Positive **is that Bitrix24 provides a data processing agreement for users from the EU, and according to Bitrix24 this is part of the terms of use. For accounts in the bitrix24.de and bitrix24.eu domain zones, Bitrix24 states that user data is hosted in AWS data centers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The infrastructure/subprocessor overview lists, among others for Europe, AWS Frankfurt for data, file, real-time communication, mail, document preview, and Bitrix24.Sites servers, as well as AWS Dublin for certain customer data/network components. Also positive are GDPR features such as data anonymization and data portability via Marketplace apps, as well as security measures such as TLS access, access restrictions, OTP for server access, daily backups, and tenant separation.


**Negative** is that Bitrix24 includes numerous modules and integrations, and depending on usage, additional third parties may be involved. The official subprocessor/infrastructure overview lists, among others, Voximplant/Zingaya for telephony, Google/Firebase/GCP for analytics/marketing, Mailchimp, Servers.com, MF Management, and OpenAI OpCo, LLC for CRM functions and speech transcription.
