The KIFOX Score is an editorial score and does not influence the ranking. The score simply indicates how many criteria are met in total. The score is based on the following criteria:
GDPR compliance
Hosting criteria (on-premises/local hosting, private cloud/data centre, EU SaaS/managed, hybrid, DPA/AVV, no training on customer data, open source/transparency path)
User reviews – fewer reviews carry less weight; the more reviews a tool has, the greater its influence on the KIFOX score
Functional quality, comprising result quality and the tool’s user-friendliness
Target audience scope
Functional scope or range of use cases
The criteria used are derived from AI-supported research. It may happen that certain criteria are rated negatively because a lack of documentation on the manufacturers’ websites can lead to a lack of evidence. How good the score ultimately turns out to be also depends on the manufacturer’s documentation on the providers’ websites.
