For n8n Cloud, according to its own documentation, n8n acts in the GDPR context as both a Controller and a Processor. As a Processor, n8n provides a Data Processing Agreement / DPA; according to n8n, the DPA includes the Standard Contractual Clauses / SCCs. 

**Positive:** n8n states that it does not use personal data – including data from third-party services – for the development, improvement, or training of AI/ML models. n8n publishes a subprocessor list; cloud infrastructure runs, among other things, on Microsoft Azure in EU regions Germany/Sweden and Hetzner in Germany. In addition, AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, and LangChain are named as subprocessors, in some cases with processing in the USA.
