GDPR-compliant use possible?
GDPR assessment: From a GDPR perspective, Doclingo is unclear to critical.
Positive is that Doclingo describes security measures, account deletion, data subject/user rights, and third-party SDKs in its Privacy Policy. It is also positive that the platform is functionally clearly documented for document translation, OCR, layout preservation, and bilingual output.
Negative is that I could not publicly find a verified GDPR data processing agreement (DPA/AVV), no SCCs, no clear EU data residency, and no reliable list of subprocessors. The Privacy Policy states that the applicable law is the law of the People's Republic of China and names Wuhan Loke Network Technology Co., Ltd. in Wuhan, Hubei, China as the company.
